Privacy Policy
AHIA attempts to protect the privacy of those who access the AHIA web site.
AHIA collects contact and identification information from those visitors to the AHIA web site who voluntarily provide their name, AHIA membership number, social security number, company affiliation, title, telephone and fax numbers, mailing address, and/or e-mail address. AHIA may use this information to process membership applications, to provide member services, and to contact web site visitors if AHIA determines that such contact is appropriate in serving AHIA members. AHIA shares name, address and telephone information from its membership list with a few select companies to help raise non-dues revenue. Please notify AHIA at 703-770-8200 if you do not want AHIA to make your contact information available to third parties for purposes other than association business. NAIFA and NAIFA's other conferences and state and local associations have their own membership list policies and members must contact those organizations individually concerning this subject. AHIA can provide you with contact information for those organizations, but AHIA does not control the use of their membership information.
AHIA also collects information from visitors to the AHIA web site who voluntarily provide contact and credit card information as part of online membership applications or to purchase products from AHIA's online store. Except as needed to process credit card charges, or unless required by law, AHIA does not disclose credit card information to third parties.
AHIA also collects information from visitors to the AHIA web site who participate in voluntary online surveys. To better serve its members, AHIA uses survey information to help gauge membership opinions and interests, and may disclose such information within the NAIFA federation. AHIA does not disclose to third parties the identities of those who respond to surveys, but may disclose to the public the survey responses themselves, both individually and in the aggregate.
AHIA does not currently collect any information from visitors to the AHIA web site other than the volunteered contact, identification, credit card, and survey information described above. In the event that AHIA collects additional information in the future from visitors to the AHIA web site, this Privacy Statement will disclose that fact and will explain how such information is used.
This Privacy Statement does not apply to any Internet sites that may be linked to the AHIA web site. AHIA is not responsible for and has no control over the privacy policies, if any, of such external sites.
Notwithstanding AHIA's efforts to protect the privacy of visitors to the AHIA web site, transmission of sensitive or confidential information to the AHIA web site should be guided by an understanding that electronic communications are not secure against interception.
Questions or comments about this Privacy Statement or the AHIA web site may be sent to the attention of Diane Boyle, AHIA Managing Director, at dboyle@naifa.org, or at AHIA, 2901 Telestar Court, Falls Church, VA 22042.
