This partnership allows users to search for your profile which can contain a bio, company information, accreditation logos, and links to more information about you and your own personal website. Your professional membership in AHIA will also be visible to prospects as your profile contains the AHIA logo.

  If you have not already activated your profile, follow these steps to do so:

  1. Go to www.healthdecisions.org
  2. In the top right-hand corner select profile login.
  3. For the 'E-Mail', enter the email that AHIA has on file for you.  If you have trouble with this, perhaps try an old email address as it may not have been updated before being entered into the system.
  4. For your password, enter your first name.  Usually this will be your formal first name, so 'Daniel' instead of 'Dan'.  You can update this information, and change your password after logging in by going to the 'User Information' section of your profile.
  5. A list of your 'current companies' will come up at this time.  Your name should appear at the top of the list.  This is your current company name and the way that you will appear in the agent and broker listings, but you can modify this after selecting it to edit.
  6. Step 2:  You will now be brought to a step called 'Company Information'.  You can update and modify any information on this page.  The bottom section is a free-form that you can fill with information about yourself, your history or the history of your agency.  Note that there will be a section in the following steps that will allow you to enter in information about the specific insurance products that you sell.  When you have completed this step, select 'Next'
  7. NOTE: in order to ensure that all of your information is saved as you go through, always use either the 'Next' button or the 'Save' button at the bottom of the pages.  You can move between steps using the numbered icons on the left-side of the screen, but your information will not be saved.
  8. Step 3:  The next step allows you to enter information about other offices that you may have.  If you have a agency with more than one office, than you can enter in contact information for those offices here.  Once you have completed this step, select 'Next'.
  9. Step 4:  On this step all you need to do is select 'Publish to Site' by 'Agents and Brokers'.  Your information will not be posted to the website until you complete information in the following steps, but this makes it possible to post your profile.  You will see a listing of insurance products here as well, and each of these is for our health plan listings.  You will be able to indicate which products you offer on subsequent steps.  When you are done, select 'Next'.
  10. Step 5:  The final step of registering and publishing your profile is to “Define” the products that you offer and select which states you are licensed to sell insurance in.  The first page you will be brought to allows you to highlight those products you offer in the top box, so if a user narrows their search by the product they are seeking this will enable you to be listed in that refined search.  The open text box below offers you space to write a little more information about those products that you offer.  When you have completed this, click 'next'.  The final step will be to select those states that you offer insurance in by filling in BOTH checkboxes next to the states you are licensed to sell insurance in.  When you have completed this step you can choose 'Save and Exit' to go view your profile.
  11. Review your profile in the search engine, and make sure it has all the information that you want.   You can go back at anytime and update or change the information, and it will load to the site in real time.
